What Chinese Girls Need to Do To get Respect

If a Chinese girl actually wanted to get some respect there are some things they should consider changing. Here is a list of what Chinese girls who want to gain some self respect should do:

Stop making your boyfriend carry your purse: You see all those Chinese men out there holding gold sequined purses or something that looks like a hallowed out dog with its legs chopped off, you now know they aren’t all gay.

Stop stalking any boy who rejects you: If a man dumps you for whatever reason, no matter how long you have been together don’t show up at his house pleading with him. Do not sit in your boyfriend’s living room for one whole day waiting for him to come home while his mother wonders what the hell you are doing there. Don’t scream his name from outside his apartment building. Don’t go to his work place and wait for him. Don’t call his friends or show up at their houses or his. Don’t tell everyone he raped you.

Stop only accepting dates from guys who you think have a lot of money: Yes I know you have to marry a rich guy, that’s the way the culture is, that’s what you parents want etc.. etc… That doesn’t mean you can’t date who you want until you get married. You might just find out a little more about yourself if you take the chance on love instead of money. So in the end if you decide you are still going to marry an older, fatter, greasier Chinese guy just because he has money, you can at least know what your life could have been like.

Know about things that go beyond your nails and hair and how much they cost: You and I both know you have more than just that to say, so open your mouth and stop acting like China Barbie.

Don’t demand presents from men and certainly don’t steal from them: Stop trying to get iphones and ipads from men. Although men are stupid for buying you these things. Try to have some self respect and at least appear like you are more than a gold digger. Absolutely don’t steal from men. I have heard stories from several friends where they happened to notice their stash of cash is considerably lighter after a night their “girlfriend” stayed over. One girlfriend admitted she took the money and said she wanted to buy the man a really nice gift and she couldn’t afford it. So stop taking the hand outs and keep your sticky fingers to yourself.

Chinese girl attitudes have been developing over thousands of years and the degradation of women has only slowly been disappearing. The world is ready for a Chinese modern woman, so where is she hiding?

Amazing Things About China

There are things about China I would love to see in my own country. If I could take these things back to my country I would probably wouldn’t be here!

Eating in Restaurants Every Night: Being able to eat in a restaurant every night and not be bankrupt by the end of the week. Though if the quality of food was as bad so many of the places here, I wouldn’t probably still eat at home anyway.

Outlandish Gifts from Men: Being able to convince a man that if he buys me an ipad I will sleep with him… and then not do it!!!!

Outrageous Clothes: Being able to walk around in clothes that I would be stared at and ridiculed for wearing at home. Though I don’t wear huge bows covered in sequins, I love that no one thinks it’s weird if I did. Also these items that I would never wear but see plenty of people wearing: Acid washed anything, animal print tights, thigh high leather boots, men in fur coats and women in stiletto heels while grocery shopping the list goes on.

Free Drinks: If an old man at home wanted to buy me beer I would absolutely turn it down, but here all kinds of people offer me free drinks with no real intentions (most of the time) except to make friends.

Everyday Learning: Everday I learn more Chinese and more about the culture just by walking outside, having coffee, eating, drinking, sleeping in this country.

Being in Demand: Being in demand work wise. It’s so simple to get work here that an idiot could do it. MANY DO!

Free Taxi Rides: Getting free rides from taxi drivers just because i chat with them and ask about their families. if that doesn’t work a little flirtation will definately get you a free ride…

Ganbei: The little glasses are perfect for drinking faster than you think you are and a great way to get your friends drunk. Yell ganbei and everyone has to drink or be a pussy!

Why Chinese Girls Like Foreign Guys

I had a discussion with a group of chinese and foreign friends the other day, the question being why do Chinese girls like foreign guys. Let’s dispense with the preliminaries by saying of course why does anyone like anyone because we are all just people. Now let’s really talk. There is a huge amount of Chinese girls who like foreign guys that is undeniable. So, why do they liked foreign guys?

Money: There is no reason this needs to be a bad thing. I mean it’s higher up on the list than I think it should be but I come from a different culture. Even if the foreign man doesn’t have money in his pocket he’s got great earning potential from just being a foreigner. He will always have work here in China if he wants it and if he wants to go home to his rich country (as the girls see it) he can do that too and so he makes a good choice for a husband. Sensible I suppose.

Appearance: It’s a novelty if you have lived your whole life looking at people with black eyes and hair. So someone with blonde or brown hair and oh my god BLUE eyes seems wildly exotic. This the element that makes us all seem like movie stars. A lot of Chinese girls will have had no experience with foreigners other than the ones they see in the movies and who wouldn’t want to date a movie star. If you said no you’re just lying to yourself my friend.

harisma: Foreign guys are pretty romantic actually. I never really thought that at home, but in comparison to what I have seen of my friends who have Chinese boyfriends, I think the foreigner who shows up with flowers and actually calls when he says he will is playing his cards exactly right. Realistically foreigners are just different from Chinese so everything we say and express is new to Chinese girls and therefore exciting and intoxicating.

Confidence-Bravado-Machismo: Foreign guys are born with it and if not then they had it forced on them growing up so as not to be subject to a head in the toilet scenario all through school. Point is Foreign guys are confident and masculine which equates to safety and sexual attraction. A confident guy appears to be the alpha male, the leader of the pack, the cream of the crop and the one everyone wants. So when a girl gets a guy like that she holds on for dear life (doubly so in China). Guys who at home would never be considered a trophy seems like big winners here. They say one’s mans garbage is another’s treasure. Case and point.

Green Card-Opportunity: Yes of course. Being with a foreign guy opens a lot of doors some of them to planes that can carry you to another country! It’s not a great reason, it’s pretty sleazy really to be with a guy for this reason, but at least no one can say that girl doesn’t have ambition!

Being Cool-Face: Dating a foreigner, a rarity, a novelty; having something other people don’t, hey that makes you look pretty cool. Everyone who sees you will wonder what makes her so special? I am sure it makes a girl feel pretty good. Until it turns to paranoia and the girls start to think their foreign man is cheating every time he’s out of sight for single second.

Sex: While I find this one a bit unlikely I was forced to admit that it is indeed a possibility. I don’t kiss and tell but I will say Chinese guys are no legends in bed, but neither are foreigners (yep I said it.) It’s all hit and miss when it comes to sex. Despite this my male friends seem to think every Chinese girl they sleep with is going wild for them because the sex is that damn good. Verdict: Yeah sometimes pigs fly so what can I say?

There are lots of reasons why any two people are together, but when it comes to Chinese girl-foreign guy relationships, I think you got your answers right there. Don’t thank me, it’s for the greater good.

Why Is There NO Rock & Roll in China?

I am not a huge fan of love songs, but if it has a good beat I can dig it. The problem with Chinese music is that every song is a love song. It’s all, I love you let’s be together, oh no why can’t we be together, oh god why are we together? I say that pretty much sums it up. My friend asked why they have no Rock music here. I guess they have their own version of it somewhere.
I go to KTV with my friends Chinese and foreign friends and while the foreigners are belting out Bon Jovi’s ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ and Elton John’s Rocketman the microphone gets passed to the Chinese singers and what a surprise, another 8 minute ballad about unrequited love. You do get a great video featuring a girly haired boy crying over his lost love and flashes of said lover trying not to cry while doing her homework. Now if this video was real life China they would be screaming at each other in the street, the boyfriend would throw whatever he was carrying and the girl would crumple into a sobbing heap on the side walk. Anyway, back to the music.
The truth of it is that love is the safest thing to sing about. Everyone knows music has a great influence on the masses and China won’t allow anything controversial or possibly rebellious-revolutionary to be sung about and therefore available to the public mind.
It makes sense when you think about it. China is the perfect example of peer pressure, with so many people in the country it’s too dangerous to the government’s stability to just let any ideas be floating around and promoting self thought. With independence comes the ability to want more for yourself but the Chinese government knows exactly what it wants, so having individuals running around trying to change things is too dangerously disruptive.

Maybe it sounds like I am downing China on this account, but actually I understand why they do it. I can’t say I agree and I won’t say that I disagree, but I see the sense in it. Such a huge country needs unity and if such a large group of people were given too much freedom things could go sour before you could say “mama huhu” (means horses and tigers for those who never heard it. The meaning is ‘just so-so’). So the main point to all of this is that Rock and Roll is just too damn dangerous for China.

What Chinese Girls are Really Like

Sometimes I feel like I come down too hard on Chinese women. I do have a lot of Chinese girl friends and I feel the need to say the great things about them.

1. They have a strong sense of femininity and idea of what it means to be a woman. Chinese women tend to dress quite feminine. They wear dresses and high heels even to mundane occasions and like to look pretty,. They keep their nails done and hair beautifully styled. They care about their appearance and the way the world sees them. They know the importance of having face.

2. They have great respect for their family. Chinese girls care a lot about what their parents feel and often tailor their decisions about life to what their parents desire. If their family suggests a boyfriend is not a good choice the girls will take that advice under serious consideration. (Completely unlike foreigners.) They respect their family unit and want to make choices in life that will benefit their parents in the future.

3. They give everything for their children. Chinese women give up a lot in life to see that their children have every potential benefit. In the west Chinese mothers are sometimes refered to as ‘Tiger Moms’. The meaning is that they take their roles as mothers very seriously. They compel their children to study hard and excel in their young lives. Enrolling their children in all kinds of different classes from music and dance to extra history and math tutoring.

4. Refined. They know when to let a man speak and continue speaking until it’s absolutely mind-numbingly boring. They have the patience to sit and let a man say ridiculous opinions without finally screaming “You’re fucking stupid shut up!” They will accompany their boyfriends or husbands to internet bars and restaurants filled with his drunken belligerent friends and be the perfect picture of grace.

5. Money savvy. I don’t know how they do it, but I have seen girls who make considerably less than I do walking around with ipads and iphones and purses and shoes that sky-rocket into the thousands of RMB.

I am not a Chinese girl, but I think Chinese girls have a lot of virtues that are under appreciated and these are but a sampling. Chinese women have been pushed into the background by men for as long as China has been Chinese. With times changing they are achieving more and more independence, it’s a slow change but if we don’t all blow up in 2012 I will be interested to see where the woman’s China is going.

What Chinese Men are Really Like

What’s so great about Chinese men? I admit it can be hard to fathom at times, but here are 5 truly great things about Chinese Men.

1. They have a sense of style. Not just the ones who look gay, but all Chinese men seem to have a good sense of style. I don’t see the baggy jeans all torn up around the bottom from dragging on the ground that I see at home. Chinese men do seem to keep their shoes immaculately clean and even shiny in some cases. They wear shirts that fit properly and aren’t old, faded, or deodorant stained under the arms. They freely wear all kinds of hats, ties, suit jackets and even have those man bags (suspiciously feminine but doesn’t mean you’re gay.) They keep up their hair styles and trim their beards for the precious few that can grow them.

2.They Pay. I don’t mean prostitutes (That’s a whole other story). They don’t mind paying for dinner, they don’t grumble over who owes what at dinner with friends and even fight to pay the bill. They buy their parents and girlfriends gifts even when it’s not a special occasion.

3. They love their families. Chinese men go out of their way to show their families the love. They appreciate and listen to family advice and study and work harder to make their families proud.

4. They love a good time. I yet again am not talking about prostitutes. Chinese men love to drink and be around friends right up until they start puking on the street or peeing in restaurants or vice versa. They yell and argue and even physically fight and it all comes out with no hard feeling (most of the time.)

5. They are marriage minded. Their goal is marriage and they have no qualms about it. When they find an acceptable girl they don’t have cold feet. They may have girlfriends who they have no plans on marrying when they are young, but eventually they will go looking for someone who is marriage appropriate. They aren’t afraid of commitment.

What Foreign Men are Really like....

I’m talking westerners when I say foreign men. I am having a hard time, but I will muddle my way through this one. Just kidding, of course there must be something good about them. Ha Ha

1. They stand on their own two feet. A foreign man makes a decision and plans to stand by it no matter what his friends or family say. Maybe it’s to his detriment sometimes, but he’s willing to take that chance and live with the outcome. Foreign men are truly creatures that make mistakes and sometimes learn from them.

2. They have a strong sexual identity. Foreign men like sex and don’t feel the need to hide it. They like girls who like sex and don’t necessarily think that makes the girl a slut. They pride themselves on their sexual prowess and can be extremely disappointed or offended if their partner is not pleased.

3. They respect and enjoy independent women. Foreign men can see girls as friends not only lovers. They respect a woman’s opinion as much as any persons. They can chat and go to movies and do all the things with women that they do with their male friends and there is no chance of a relationship or sex floating around in their minds.

4. They love to laugh. Foreign guys love a sense of humor in both their friends and lovers. A good joke goes a long way with a foreign man and they love to kid around with each other. Get a group of grown men together and it can turn into a comedy show, maybe not a good one, but everyone’s happy.

5. They have machismo. I am not saying they’re all he-man, but they have a real sense of masculinity in their appearance and personality. They like to be seen as big and strong even if their scrawny and nerdy. For the ones who don’t have a manly body they use their intelligence or social skills to dominate.

So, foreign men do have good things about them and they aren’t all listed here, but I think these attributes make them pretty desirable.

The Secrets of Foreign Women-- What are they really like?

By foreign women I mean western women, and women in general go one of two ways. Good or Evil I personally think both are good.

1. Independent. Foreign women have their own ideas about pretty much everything in the universe and guess what they’re always right. At least that’s what they think. Foreign women like to be independent, make their own mistakes and deny they ever happened later. They don’t want to depend on men or family or anyone to make them feel appreciated. It happens of course, but that’s the battle.

2. They like the chase. Whether it’s a man chasing them or them hunting one down, it’s all in good fun until you find yourself sitting by the phone cursing that selfish bastard who hasn’t called. Foreign women enjoy getting what they want or being gotten. They also enjoy the morning after.

3. Sexual Healing. Just kidding I love that song. Foreign women are sexually open. They know what they want and feel no shame in getting it. They love men or women as their taste may be and don’t want every man they sleep with to be their boyfriend sometimes they don’t even want to see them the next day.

4. They keep their own lives. Boyfriends, married, children, foreign women try to keep a sense of their own identity. They want to have their friends and their families and their cake and eat it too… the cake not the friends and families. They try to keep their own lives even as mothers and wives. They don’t want their lives to revolve around their family, but co-exist happily with their own desires.

5. They have strong social lives. Foreign women enjoy going out with friends be they female or male. They have no issues getting too drunk or just drunk enough to make a fool of themselves. They can even laugh about it later as they wash puke from their hair.

In short, foreign women are unpredictable creatures who are all about themselves. That doesn’t mean they don’t love and laugh and die if you hit them on the head with a shovel it just means they like to have a good time.
